Sharon Cavanagh is an Australian-born photographer and educator based in California.
She studied photography in Melbourne before relocating to London and then, Los Angeles. For many years, she assisted the top portrait and celebrity photographers traveling the world to support and learn from them.
Her photojournalism and portrait work with national and international nonprofits has given her global exposure and confirmed her commitment to documenting different cultures.
Her work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Some of her clients include the New York Times, LA Times, InStyle, and W magazines.
Sharon is passionate about large format film cameras, children, animals, and F1 racing.
Since 2021, Sharon has developed the first photography and aerial photography (drone) classes for a local charter school in the Monterey County region supporting at-risk teenagers.
